Held 16th April
As a part of the Ardrossan 150th anniversary celebration to be held later in the year a show and shine was held on the Ardrossan football oval on Sunday 16h April 2023.
Brenton and Kay, Dean and Judith, Graham and Elizabeth, Allan and Lut, Rob and Glenys and Graham and Daphne travelled over for the weekend.
Many accommodation places were booked out, but we were able to find cabins at Port Victoria. A perfect spot, lovely cabins, and excellent meals at the nearby hotel.
Wild weather, wind and rain did not dampen our spirits. Sunday turned out cool and a bit overcast but a pleasant day on the oval. Judging was by people’s choice.
Some of us found a beautiful coffee shop on our return to Port Victoria, La Petite. We would highly recommend it if you are in the vicinity of Port Victoria. Sunday night following happy hour we finished the evening with Pizza again from the hotel. Excellent!
Monday we all headed home via our own routes. The old van owned by Graham and Daphne may not come again!! A few of us had some retail therapy at Clare on the way home.
