Whyalla 50 Years Anniversary Celebrations

Held 9th & 10th MaRCH

Left Berri around 10am Friday 8/3/24 to help Whyalla with their 50 years Anniversary Celebrations.

We had “smoko” and lunch along the way and arrived around 4.00pm in Whyalla. Their Club rooms were open from 6.30pm for a chat and drinks.

Saturday was Registration Day and morning tea, and all vehicles were on display. Graham’s Statesman and I borrowed my brother’s XY6 Jaguar. A free afternoon was then followed by great dinner that night with more drinks and chats.

Sunday was meant to be a drive around Whyalla, but due to the hot weather we just all meet at Mount Laura Homestead to look around and enjoy some morning tea before heading back to the club rooms for a BBQ lunch.

Trophies and prizes were awarded over dinner, and it was a great night.

The Trezise’s won the furthest travelled, as I cheated as I had my brothers Jaguar and he lives in Whyalla.

All up we had a great weekend and Graham left some forms for the RVCCC rally in October with lots of positive reactions to join us.
