Burra to Morgan Run

Held 15th & 16th July

Riverland members Brenton and Kaye, Dean and Judy, Bob & Julie , Allan & Lut and Robert and Glenys met at Price Park in Renmark at 8.30 am Saturday morning to travel to Burra.

We all made our way to Morgan where we had morning tea at the bakery, noticing all the interconnector towers going up along the way. These towers start at Robertstown and will be erected up to Wagga Wagga. Such a huge project through the area.

We reached Burra before lunch so headed for a bite at a local café and then booked into the Burra Motor Inn.

Bob and I drove out to a Peter Weiss’ private collection of saws and spanners. What a collection he had from all the different chainsaws and spanners and every other tool you would like to own.

We drove back to town in time to meet at the Northern Automotive Restoration Club clubrooms in Paxton Square for meet and greet, nibbles and drinks. There were about 80 people that joined in the Burra run from all areas of the state. The Riverland group had tea at the Pub before turning in for the night.

Sunday morning, we met at the clubrooms for a beautiful egg and bacon roll before travelling to “The Gums” 45 kilometres away to have morning tea and a show and shine with other club members.

Met up with Ken & Wilma and drove to Morgan for lunch and trophy presentation where we all enjoyed each other’s company before driving home.

A great cold weekend.
