A cool but sunny day greeted riders arriving at the Berri Senior Citizens Club carpark. Attendance was impressive with ten bikes lining up for a ride somewhere in the Riverland!
It seems we hadn’t visited Renmark for almost a year, so we headed in that direction at 1.00pm.
The route chosen was to turn off the Sturt Highway, and from Airport Road, ride along Government Road, checking out the new bitumen road works, then out to Cooltong and meander back into Renmark for a regroup at the town wharf.
It was nice to see three riders accompanied by their wives and Judy, Mercy, and Janet certainly brightened up our day! Also, a big welcome to new club members Janet (shorty) and Brenton!
Paul’s 64 Triumph Bonneville was looking and sounding great, and we wish him good luck for his annual racing visit to Mac Park in Mount Gambier!
Leaving Renmark, we continued our ride through Paringa and via Stanitski Road to Lyrup where we lined up the bikes outside the Lyrup Club before enjoying hot coffee and lots of chatting!
We crossed over on the ferry heading for home, having enjoyed a great ride in glorious autumn weather!
