Held on 5 November 2023
Spring provided us with another fabulous day to enjoy our bikes and with eight riders ready for action in Berri things should have gone to plan or did they!
Enthusiastic Royal Enfield rider Brenton was ready for the off until he noticed a problem with his nice new riding boots! To describe his problem as a separation of the (soul) sole was an understatement with both boots experiencing a major separation, he had to make a dash for home to retrieve his old faithful boots!
Nothing else could go wrong today we thought as the last arrival purred into sight, Chris on his beautiful Ariel Square Four pulled into the parking bay, with a big problem! The fabulous 1949 Ariel had dumped almost all its engine oil over the side of the bike and over Chris!
What a mess, poor Chris made a call for Carol to organise a trailer for Chris and his Ariel!
The ride when we finally set off took us along the Gurra Road to Lyrup and then Stanitski Road towards Loxton north.
Bealy led the ride out around Loxton north, passing the Loxton golf club and the amount of housing development in the area is surprising!
We completed an interesting semi-circle which finally delivered us to the Loxton roundabout where a cool drink and chat followed. The ride home took us back along Stanitski Road to Paringa where we all headed for home.
This was the last RVCCC organised bike ride for the year as December 3 is the Ulysses Tucker &Toy Run.
