On Sunday the 17th September was the Run to Waikerie. It was a hot day for this time of the year, however there was a good roll up.
The members from up river had a coffee and tea break at the Bakery on the Highway before travelling to the Lion’s Shelter at 12 o’clock for a BYO everything lunch.
Grace and I went straight to the shelter to hold the site as it cannot be booked. This was a great spot under cover and plenty of tables and seats.
When it was time to move on Grace and Lawrie took the lead, showing off the beautiful River Front and new boat ramp.
We then travelled through the town and on to Ruth and James[um_show_content not=’member’] Copeland’s[/um_show_content] property where they welcomed us to check out their new houseboat under construction. They also showed us approximately 23 “up market” classy, and beautifully restored cars! This left all of us spell bound.
