Brenton and Kay, Dean and Jude and Bob and Julie attended the “Yesterday’s Power Rally’ at Milang.
Trevor and Rosalie joined us on the Sunday. We set ourselves up at the Strathalbyn Caravan Park on the Friday afternoon after viewing the Tour Down Under bikes pass through the town.
On Saturday we drove across to Milang for the Rally. It was a hot day but interesting to view the many exhibits and working steam engines and watch the tractor pulls with Rex as the commentator and Leon taking part. Some of us took the boat cruise on Lake Alexandria on the old paddle steamer the ‘Oscar W’ before heading back to Strathalbyn.
We enjoyed our takeaway dinner in the company of Trevor and Rosalie at their lovely home on the river.
On Sunday, we once again took ourselves across to Milang for the day. A much cooler and more pleasant day.
Many more cars were displayed and lots more people enjoyed the day. Working Clydesdale’s, a steam traction engine, the museum and much more kept us entertained.
