48 people met at Price Park Renmark 9.30am Sunday, 19th November for a run leaving after morning tea at 10.00am.
Our first place of interest was the new Royal Flying Doctor Service transfer station at the Renmark airport.
We then drove around the Renmark West/North area passing blueberry farms, cherry farms and almond orchards, finally arriving at the 23rd Street Distillery where we were directed to park on the lawns, making an impressive display for the viewing pleasure of visitors and locals.
Unfortunately, one vehicle didn’t quite make the distance and was towed to a nearby site until able to be retrieved and the very disappointed members were transported to the distillery for lunch, thanks to Chris and Jeff who eventually drove them home to Waikerie. Hope it’s an easy fix Mike.
The run was thoroughly enjoyed by all members many of whom had no idea of what was in the area we drove through.
All involved enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Distillery and a time to chat with others.
A lucky draw was held with excellent prizes donated by the Distillery and won by Peter, Elizabeth and Vicki.
